Now in its 5th year, and produced in partnership with RFi Group, the ARCA National Conference is the premier annual event for credit risk professionals in Australia.

The conference brings together over 350 credit risk professionals across industries and creates a unique opportunity for networking, to share best practices and to collaborate with peers.

This year's theme is: "The Changing Future of Credit Risk”, and has been chosen to build on last year's theme of “Optimising outcomes in an uncertain world".  Our international and local speakers will distil their insights from their own experiences to help navigate an evolving landscape and strategise the future of our organisations.

Increasingly, the ARCA National Conference is known for providing top quality strategic insights and networking opportunities for senior executives in the credit risk industry - as well as professional development and motivational opportunities for their teams.

EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS:

This conference is designed with input from the ARCA Board and RFi Analytics members to challenge the retail credit industry with new insights and best practice from around the world.  We invite international and local speakers to share their expertise and provide practical knowledge for attendees to take back to their organisations.

Optional in-depth workshops before and after the conference are also often provided, free of charge, for those delegates who wish to maximise their learning opportunities. To register for workshops, please check the agenda and note your preference, and email this to Lucy Ladbrooke at lladbrooke@rfigroup.com

CPD POINTS:

Lawyers and responsible managers for ACLs and AFSLs will benefit from attending sessions suitable for CPD points and should record their details at registration on the ledger. CPD points are noted on the agenda. A maximum of 16.5 CPD points are available including the pre and post workshops. Please contact Rebecca Murray at rmurray@arca.asn.au  or on 0419 633 346 for more information.

  • Welcome Cocktail Reception,
  • Gala dinner,
  • Executive breakfast, and
  • ARCA Community Hub & catering areas
Additionally, this year there will be an event app that contains social feeds, messenger services and the details of all attendees.

"The Changing Future of Credit Risk"

This year’s theme is: "The Changing Future of Credit Risk”, and has been chosen to build on last year’s theme of “Optimising outcomes in an uncertain world".  Our international and local speakers will distil their insights from their own experiences to help navigate an evolving landscape and strategise the future of our organisations.

Key themes:

2008 vs. 2016 – economic differences or similarities. Should we be warned?
Are borrower demographics changing, and what implications do these changes bring for credit management?
Are regulators killing (good) old fashioned credit risk decisioning – and is that a bad thing?
What impacts will open data and broader data have on credit decisioning, reporting and accounting?

This year, we will have three breakout streams interspersed by plenaries to enable us to deep dive into key areas of change:

  1. Strategic - addressing the big picture issues
  2. Technical - drilling down into analytics and critical operational issues
  3. Legal & Compliance - suitable for lawyers, compliance and risk managers and advisory firms

CONSISTENTLY HIGH PRAISE FROM ATTENDEES!
Delegate comments from 2016 include....

"Interesting challenges ahead, all really well presented"
